Curry Corn Dogs with Tikka Masala Ketchup

Ingredients

For the corndogs

  • 48 cooked cocktail wieners
  • 1 package Jiffy cornbread mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 tsp dried coriander

For the sauce

  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • chopped basil optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Whisk together cornbread mix, milk, egg, curry powder, and dried coriander.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan or use a deep fryer. Coat cocktail wieners in cornbread batter and fry for 30 seconds. Drain on a paper towel.
  • Melt butter in a sauce pan. Add in tomato paste, sour cream, garam masala, sugar, and salt and stir until evenly mixed. Serve warm.

Notes

Feel free to substitute other meats such as mini sausages for a different flavor.
