Miso Glazed Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 3 clove garlic finely minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp miso paste
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds toasted
  • fresh cracked pepper for garnish
  • poached egg optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a saute pan, melt butter and minced garlic.
  • When butter has completely melted and garlic becomes golden, whisk in miso paste and honey until completely dissolved.
  • Saute asparagus for 3-5 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from heat.
  • Plate asparagus spears and spoon remaining miso glaze over spears. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds, fresh black pepper and poached egg.
